The Alcazaba of Malaga is a palatial fortification of the Muslim rulers of the city. It is located on a hill Gibralfaro, but is linked to the historic centre of the city. There are several exhibitions of Islamic pottery but the main joys are the building itself, the gardens and the views. As a Muslim military construction it is the most important and the best-preserved in Spain.
